Community Conversation Series // 23rd Great Backyard Bird Count

Join us for our Community Conversation Series: "Wish I Knew More About...", a discussion forum with a recommended book to cultivate authentic, meaningful community conversations around relevant, trending, fun, and even difficult topics. We'll bring in experienced facilitators and armchair experts to facilitate the conversations.

This community conversation is for ALL AGES! Local naturalist, Sally McCracken, will talk about the 23rd Great Backyard Bird Count which will be February 14 - 17, 2020. It is one of the largest Citizen Science events in the world. Over 100 countries participate and over 32,000,000 birds were counted last year. 6,876 bird species were counted and there were 224,781 participants.
Bring your favorite bird book (BYOBB) and be ready to share why you like it or if you just like the topic of birds, join us to listen, learn, and contribute without having a favorite book. Please arrive early to purchase beverages (if you wish) as the store closes at 7pm.
