Welcome To Next Page!

Next Page Books & Nosh is located in beautiful Frisco, Colorado on “The Main Street of the Rockies.” At Next Page, we strive to keep our focus on the traditional strengths of an independent bookseller - a great selection of books, personalized and friendly service, a knowledgeable staff, and a deep commitment to the community that we serve.

It’s the perfect place to relax after your day of mountain adventure. Come in and stay as long as you like. We just love to talk about books!

Our History:

Next Page has been on Frisco Main Street since 2007 when it was founded by Karen Berg during economic downturn. As an avid reader, Karen saw a void where a proper bookstore should be: Frisco wasn't a real town without a bookstore. Next Page opened among 5 other bookstores in Summit County, and after economic downturn in 2007, Next Page became the last one standing thanks to the care and support of the local community. Karen built connections here in Summit County, started the long-held traditions of the bookstore, and bought Alpenrose Press, which publishes The Summit Vail Hiker guides.

Karen took the bookstore and expanded it into the tea bar in 2009. The paintings that you can spot around the store are designed and created by Tosha, a friend of Karen's. The current owner, Lisa Holenko, bought the bookstore from Karen in 2016. The bookstore was passed on through Karen and Lisa's friendship, from hiking together, adopting their shop dogs together, and discussing their favorite books together. Under the watchful eye of Lisa, the shop added espresso and nosh to the tea bar. Karen still works at the bookstore four times a week, sharing her favorite books with the store's loyal customers. The bookstore remains woman-owned and chiefly women-run! Lisa's hope for the bookstore is to maintain a community focus in our small business and keep the culture of books on Main Street. A home for locals, a welcoming place for tourists, and a wonderous place for children, the shop is here because of customers like you! Most recently, in 2019, the shop expanded its children's section to twice its size, creating more room for fun, games, and story-time!

Today, we keep the traditions of the local bookstore: promoting literacy and reading through book clubs and events, hosting local authors and live music, supplying local products, writing staff picks, participating in sustainable actions, donating to local causes, supporting our neighbors, maintaining a safe space for everyone, fostering diversity in stories and books, and creating a space for meaningful community conversations. Thank you for keeping books on Main Street.
